5 essential oils to add in your beauty routine

Taking good care of your skin is no longer a luxury but a vital step you need to incorporate in your routine for its upkeep and general health. As the environment becomes the worst enemy for your skin, making sure you use the right ingredient is necessary. Oil in general has a bad reputation for being the trigger for skin problems but your skin actually needs oil to stay healthy. If applied in the right way and in right quantity, oil can prove to be beneficial for your skin.

Here is a guide for what you need.

Tea tree essential oil

Known to aid acne-prone skin. It’s antibacterial properties helps in reducing acne-causing bacteria and assists in healing blemishes and scars. Tea tree oil also helps in regulating oil production, which decreases the intensity of breakouts.

Argan Oil for anti-ageing

Originally from Morocco, Argan oil is known for cell regeneration, helping your skin to remain free of fine lines and wrinkles. Apart from your skin, Argan oil helps in strengthening your nails as well as ward off hair fall issues.

Sweet Almond Oil

We already know almond is a healthy snack, but you can also apply it topically as it has beneficial fatty acids that help in reducing inflammation and redness on your skin. Its hypoallergenic qualities also help in reducing symptoms of eczema and psoriasis.

Jajoba Oil for softening frizzy hair

Jajoba oil is fantastic skin-softener, along with being beneficial for frizzy, breakage-prone hair. Go for shampoos that have jojoba oil in them or indulge in a deep-conditioning massage weekly to get maximum benefits of the oil.

Lavender Oil for de-stressing and relaxation

With a scent that is relaxing, lavender helps in relieving tight, itchy skin and in protecting skin from harmful environmental elements such as UV rays and pollution which is much -needed in our daily routine. You can indulge in creams with lavender content or simply make a toner with a a carrier oil that you can spray on the go or before you finally hit the bed. While essential oils are beneficial for your overall skin and health, they should be used in moderation as they are highly concentrated. Mixing them with carrier oil such as coconut oil is the trick to using them methodically.
